Gidon Vardi, PhD

Since 1993, Dr. Vardi has spent hundreds of hours as an ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) professional, resolving a wide range of cases involving construction and insurance related disputes, from simple single family homes to the complex multi-million dollar Hollywood Boulevard subway construction sinkhole project. As an ADR professional, he has served as a party appointed appraiser (Arbitrator) and neutral umpire in more than three hundred claims in matters relating to California Insurance Code §2071 appraisals and the State of Colorado Insurance Appraisal provision. Dr. Vardi’s vast experience includes a variety of conflicts, including business, insurance (property and casualty), neighbor-to-neighbor, labor, construction defect, real estate and other disputes where the parties need rapid and balanced conclusion to their discord. Trained by top professionals, with mediation certificates from UCLA Extension and Pepperdine, and a continuing interest and self-education in the area of dispute resolution, he has earned high marks from his colleagues. As a leader in the area of insurance dispute resolution he was co-founder and Chair of a California nonprofit corporation that promoted professional standards and continuing education in all areas of ADR.
